Yarn-y Goodness

I'm an absolute sucker for hand spun/dyed yarns. So when a new Artfire shop opened up, I had to take a look.

These yarns are from Frolic 'n Fiber. She has some really wonderful yarns in her shop. Clicking a pic will take you to the item.

Also, check out her blog. She has pictures of the llamas and all the other critter goodness. She lives out in Oregon, lucky woman. I wanna come play with the llamas. ;)

So lets make her feel welcome.

Copper Rings

I was looking through the Artfire forums this morning and came across this seller. These items combine 2 of my favorite things, rings and copper.

Please take a look at Curlycurvywire. Here's a few items to get ya started, all pics are clickable.

Enjoy and have a great weekend.

Bracelet with my beads!

Yay! I love seeing what jewelry makers can make with my beads. Especially since I love to make the beads, but I suck at making jewelry.

These beads were part of my first sale and already Joy at Catinalife has them made up into this beautiful bracelet.
Yeah, those are my beads and Joy does such great work. So lets look at few more beauties by her.

She does really great work. Go look around her shop at Catinalife, you won't be sorry.

Leather journals

More items I MUST have, lol. I love these. I find that when the journal is something special it makes it easier to write in. So when I saw these from PrairieBouquet, I just knew I had to post them. All pics are clickable.

Jen's goin green, I'm so excited

Ok, so I have a couple of email crochet friends (Betty and Lisa). We've been buddies emailing each other for about 3 years now. Every once in a while, we like to throw challenges out there to have fun with.

Now, I'll be honest here, I've never done very well with these challenges, lol. I start out with good intentions and then cop out with the finish line in site.

So Betty threw out this challenge 2 weeks ago:

"Go green. Come up with crochet items that are made totally of recycled materials. Think outside the box, make things you normally wouldn't make. Your imagination is the only limitation here. Think outside the box."

So, with my regular good intentions, I started thinking about what I could do. That's when I became a bit obsessed, lol. Now I look at something and think "hey, I could so crochet that out of xxxx".

In the next week or 2, I'll be posting my recycled creations. This was a really fun challenge, not sure why this one really got my creative juices going.

Stay tuned.

The template for this blog got messed up so I had to reload it. Unfortunately, I lost all of the widgets.

Give me a little time and I'll have them all back up and running soon.

Sorry for YOUR bad day

Normally, I don't say anything, I just let things slide. But this just chaffed my hide.

Yesterday, I decided to use up a bunch of Entrcard credits and buy some ads. All ads were accepted, but one. Ok, no problem, no big deal. But then this person came back to my blog to leave a nasty comment (which I have erased). Now, I don't believe in calling people out, and I won't.

The comment was something like this:

I DO NOT accept ads for xxx site. I am a member of xxx site. I believe in it, trust it and only support fellow members from there. You're blog is not supporting xxx and therefore I won't accept any of your ad requests.
Now why would a person do that? I understand and think it's great that you support xxx site. I never said anything bad about it, I never said ANY site was better than the other.

Were you just having a bad morning? Why would you go thru the trouble to make a comment like that?

You could have simply denied my ad request (which you did) and left it at that.

Hmmmm, I guess it really is Friday the 13th.

I absolutely love windchimes. So, I was quite pleased when I found these on Artfire. These are all from Waycoolwindchimesandgifts. They have such a wonderful collection, I don't think I could ever make up my mind and get just one, so do take a look.

As always, clicking on the pics will take you to them item page.

I am so excited!

Yesterday, I had my first 2 orders on Artfire.

Joining a new site is always a thrill. Especially when you have the chance to get in right after it's started. The only down part is you can spend some time waiting for your first sale.

Then, you get that first sale and it feels so good. And it's like you can breathe again (because you've holding your breath waiting for that sale, lol).

I love Artfire, I love the people their and I'm looking forward to a nice long life there.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

I love these signs

This post will be a quickie. I was checking out Artfire today and found this sign I just loved. Clicking on the pic will take you to the item.

Do I really need to say anything else? Lol. I just love this sign. It's made by CountryWorkshop. They have the most wonderful signs there. I can probably list 10 or 12 that I want to own.

Ok, I'll stop now. But I really do just love these.
